Tinbeerwah Art Group members have donned their artist berets and are busy preparing for their annual art show.
This year proceeds from the gold coin door entry will be donated to the Katie Rose Cottage Hospice.
Come and meet the artists and enjoy some light refreshments at the official opening on Friday 15 September, at 5.30pm, at Tinbeerwah Hall, on the corner of Sunrise and Cooroy-Noosa roads, Tinbeerwah.
The show will also be open on Saturday 16 September, from 9am to 4pm, and Sunday 17 September, from 10am to 3.30pm.
The annual art show is dedicated to the memory of the late Gwen Blair who founded the Tinbeerwah Art Group in 1997 making it one of the longest running art groups on the Sunshine Coast.
“This year the art group has been fortunate to have award winning artists Noreen Flood, Pam Taylor, Victoria Fitzpatrick and Helen Lawson as our guest tutors,” TAG art show co-ordinator Jan Cooke said.
“They have encouraged us to experiment with different techniques resulting in an eclectic and exciting exhibition. This is certainly reflected in the variety of work that will be on display this year.
“There is something for everyone. Paintings framed and unframed ranging from traditional to contemporary styles in watercolours, acrylics, oils, pastels, charcoal and mixed media all for sale at reasonable prices.”
Well known local artist and TAG member Bob Silver will be giving painting demonstrations throughout the weekend.
For further information please contact Jan Cooke on 5473 0235 or 0412 769 351.
