It was a sea of smiles in Eumundi all weekend with music-lovers embracing the chance to see top-notch Australian bands at the Offbeat Music Festiva held at The Imperial Hotel Eumundi on Saturday 26 March.

The festival was a sold-out event, boasting a line-up that featured Holy Holy, Rolling Blackouts Coastal Fever, Emma Donovan and The Putbacks, Hayley Mary, Dallas Frasca, Kallidad, Dear Doonan, Kurilpa Reach, Karl S. Williams, Fragile Animals, Palomino III, The Rumbrellas and Betty Taylor.

Organiser Alice Jones said fans relished the chance to see such stellar acts take to the stage.

“The energy was truly electric, with musicians stoked to be performing again after the last couple of challenging years, and a crowd that were blown away by the calibre of artists,” Alice said.

“Music brings people together and seeing our crowd having so much fun was truly amazing,” she said.

“The bands commented on the feeling of community too – they felt the love from Eumundi, and after a couple of very tough years in our industry, that was really great to hear.”

The Offbeat Music Festival was proudly supported by the Restart Investment to Sustain and Expand Fund (RISE) – an Australian Government initiative.

The good vibes continued the next day with the free outdoor community event Park Sounds, held in the centre of town in Caplick Park.

Families enjoyed craft and educational workshops, face painting for kids, a special performance by the Gubbi Gubbi Dancers, then a line-up of bands featuring Frank and Louis, Jam and Scones and The Long Johns.
