Record-breaking year for Sunshine Coast Business Awards

The Sunshine Coast Business Awards has received a record 263 entries in 2025 – the highest in the program’s 30-year history.

This milestone, reached on Monday night as entries closed, highlights the strength and expansion of the Sunshine Coast business community, with more enterprises choosing to establish and grow on the Coast.

The previous record was set in 2023 with 250 entries, closely followed by 239 entries in 2024.

Entries were received across all categories, with particularly strong representation in Trades and Services, Business Services, Retail, Health and Medical Services, Professional Services, and Building, Construction and Engineering. Growth across most other categories also underscored the diversity, innovation, and resilience of the region’s business landscape.

Chair of the Sunshine Coast Business Awards, Jennifer Swaine, said the record number of entries reflects the continued confidence and ambition of local businesses.

“This year’s response is a clear demonstration of the calibre of businesses choosing to call the Sunshine Coast home. To reach 263 entries in our 30th year is an incredible achievement, and we’re proud to see such strong representation across industries. It’s a reminder that the Coast is not only a great place to live, but also a thriving hub for innovation, growth and opportunity,” Swaine said.

“This outstanding result is only possible thanks to the commitment of our sponsors including this year’s naming right sponsor Coraggio. Their support ensures we can continue to deliver one of the region’s most prestigious programs, recognising and celebrating the remarkable achievements of local businesses.”

With judging now underway, preparations are also beginning for the highly anticipated Finalist Event and Gala Celebration, where the Sunshine Coast business community will come together to acknowledge and honour the 2025 winners.

Key dates:

Finalist Announcement: 18 September 2025

Finalist Cocktail Event: 9 October 2025

Gala Dinner and Awards Ceremony: 8 November 2025
