Traffic delays expected in Tewantin from Monday

Residents and motorists are advised to expect traffic delays and exercise caution when travelling on Poinciana Ave, Tewantin from Monday 27 October.

This is due to urgent concrete repairs that will be undertaken by Council around Woolworths, Ray White and Tewantin Market Garden.

These works will involve the removal of the left side of the outdoor Woolworths carpark driveway, which has been lifted and damaged by nearby tree roots – creating a major trip hazard for the public.

The outdoor carpark will be closed to traffic from Monday 27 October, to allow these repair works to take place and for the concrete to set. The carpark is expected to re-open to traffic on Thursday 30 October (weather permitting).

The undercover Woolworths carpark, accessible via Blakesly St, will remain open as normal.

Works will take place between the hours of 6:30am and 6:30pm. Traffic management measures will be in place while works are in progress.

Residents, motorists and pedestrians are urged to exercise caution around the work zones.
