Tight race at Sunshine Coast Inter-school regatta

The 22nd Stratogen Accounting Sunshine Coast Inter-school regatta was held over the weekend of 17 and 18 May.

It was contested by a total of 18 teams from seven schools: St Andrews Anglican College, Good Shepherd Lutheran College, Sunshine Coast Grammar School, Noosa Pengari Stiener School, Matthew Flinders Anglican College, Sunshine Beach State High School, and Sunshine Beach State Primary School.

Conditions were tough on Saturday with rain and very little wind in the morning resulting in three heats being postponed, however the wind came up after lunch to finish off the final races of the day.

Sunday brought improved conditions and very tight racing all around, with many of the final scores being tied or one point difference.

2nd Sunshine Beach State High School – Gulliver and Phileine

3rd Good Shepherd Lutheran College – Phoebe, Heidi, and Kayla
