Sunshine Coast swimmers lead the region at State Championships

Sunshine Coast Grammar Swimming Club continues to make its mark in the swimming world, placing sixth at the 2025 Queensland Short Course Championships and solidifying itself as the highest-ranking club on the Sunshine Coast.

Competing against more than 100 clubs statewide, the team of 39 swimmers delivered an outstanding performance, earning 29 medals, including 8 Gold, 10 Silver and 11 Bronze.

This result marks the club’s third consecutive year in the top ten and is a reflection of the depth, commitment and strong club culture.

Director of Swimming, Luke Stafford, expressed his pride in the team’s performance, stating the result was a powerful reflection of the club’s momentum and values.

“We are so proud of placing sixth in the club point score, which is a credit not only to our athletes but also the support of our coaching staff and the families behind the scenes,” Mr Stafford said.

With strong performances across all strokes and distances, the club continues to build a legacy of excellence.
