A 57-year-old man remains in a critical condition after his plane crashed into the ocean at Noosa Main Beach on Sunday at about 7am.
The man was piloting an ultra-light plane when it crashed into the ocean. The man was flown to the Royal Brisbane Hospital by RACQ Careflight helicopter where he remains in a critical condition.
It is believed the pilot suffered head, chest and abdominal injuries as a result of the crash. The plane wreckage has since been removed from the ocean.
