POLICE have charged a man with attempted murder following an incident in Doonan on 5 July.
It will be alleged that, about 2am, a 48-year-old woman was asleep in a caravan on Marnie Crescent when she was woken by a strange sound.
The woman then discovered gas being released into the caravan.
The woman was not physically injured.
Following a crime scene examination and investigations into the incident, detectives charged a 62-year-old Dalrymple Heights man with one count of attempted murder.
He is due to appear in Maroochydore Magistrates’ Court.
