Warm welcome draws chilly Melbourne

Tourism Noosa’s winter marketing campaign launch in Melbourne has wrapped up with the Noosa Pop-Up Beach House in Federation Square making an estimated 500,000 passer-bys jealous with beautiful scenes of Noosa.
Tourism Noosa CEO Damien Massingham said the Noosa You Could Be Here message was a warm welcome to Melburnians on chilly winter days and will continue in Melbourne throughout winter.
He said Tourism Noosa’s signature Noosa wrapped tram will be rolling through the streets each day till early spring in key areas in and around Federation Square including Toorak, South Yarra, St Kilda and also on Swanston Street, one of the busiest streets in Melbourne.
“The You Could Be Here campaign while launched in Melbourne also extends into other key markets including Sydney, Canberra and New Zealand throughout winter,” Mr Massingham said.
“Other activities including Sydney buses featuring the Noosa messaging and host of Noosa billboards at Canberra Airport.
“More than 80,000 Avant cards will also be distributed in Melbourne, Sydney and Canberra as well as 40,000 Noosa Winter Holiday Guides distributed through Australia’s leading travel magazine, Australian Traveller.”
While the full effects of the marketing campaign will not be seen immediately, Mr Massingham said local tourism operators have informed him that the campaign has already sparked significant increases in bookings.
“We look forward to welcoming southern visitors to Noosa in oncoming months,” he said.
