Smart step for pets

TAKE man’s best friend for a walk on Sunday 14 June to St Andrew’s Anglican College for the annual Poochies at Peregian morning in support of Smart Pups Assistance Dogs.
Now in its fourth year, the event raises much-needed funds for Smart Pups Assistance Dogs, a Sunshine Coast charity who specialises in providing trained service dogs to children with special needs.
It is guaranteed to be a fun-filled morning with demonstrations by Smart Pups, dog training tips from professional dog trainer Stephen Dawson and Suzanne from Doggie Business, K9 Dog Wash will be there and much more.
There will be competitions and great prizes on the day along with a raffle filled with goodies to put a smile on your pooch’s face!
“This is a great event for the community to see the amazing work Smart Pups is doing for children with special needs, and enjoy a morning of fun with their dogs at the same time”, college principal Chris Ivey said.
The St Andrew’s Friends of Music will put on a delicious morning tea for you to purchase and enjoy, along with your coffee from Espresso Mobile who will be there during the morning.
Entry is $5 per pooch, with proceeds going to Smart Pups.
