Whether it’s creating 3D images, virtual reality artwork, computer coding or sewing up a new shopping bag Cooroy Library’s new Makerspace has the technology and the expertise to help you do it.
Noosa libraries and galleries manager Kerri Contini said the new facility would provide technology many people could not afford on their own and skill them in their use.
“We can teach people all the things they need for the future,” she said.
While a sewing machine seems a little out of place amongst the high tech gadgets Kerri said it was something the community had asked for and was already proving very popular.
She said the Noosa Library, once renovated, would also contain a makerspace with the addition of a wet zone enabling an expansion into the area of chemistry.
The library plans to bring in experts in different field to the makerspace to share their expertise with the community.
