NEWLY appointed school leaders at Noosa District State High School have been praised for proudly representing the school at a moving Remembrance Day Ceremony in Cooroy on Friday 11 November.
The students joined a large group of community members and showed much respect and reverence for the commemoration.
Principal Chris Roff and acting junior school deputy principal Murray Gordon also attended the laying of wreaths ceremony at the Cooroy cenotaph.
“Chris and I were very proud of these great kids,” Mr Gordon said.
Central Queensland University’s digital media lecturer and course co-ordinator Jim Picton described the student leaders’ efforts at the Remembrance Day ceremony as sterling.
“I thoroughly enjoyed the recent school awards night, where we saw these students being appointed into their new roles. From what I saw today, they’re off to a fantastic start,” Mr Picton said.
