Two charged over drugs find

By Hollie Harris

DETECTIVES from the Sunshine Coast Criminal Investigation Branch and the Drug and Serious Crime Task Force have charged two people during an ongoing drug operation on the Sunshine Coast.
Police said they intercepted a vehicle on Monday 29 August and the male driver allegedly ran from officers, threw a package of drugs into nearby bushes and was caught shortly after.
Police also searched a vehicle and residence in Park Crescent, Sunshine Beach, and found ice and cocaine, cash, two stolen motorcycles and a stolen pushbike.
A Sunshine Beach man and woman, both aged 35, have been charged with drug related offences including possession and supply of dangerous drugs.
They were due to appear in Maroochydore Magistrates’ Court on Tuesday.
