ZEN opens low emissions centre

Zero Emissions Noosa (ZEN) will open its Low Emission Living Centre in Lanyana Way, Noosa Junction on Saturday 30 March to promote low carbon emission living choices and everyone is invited to drop in from 9am to 3pm.ZEN president Vivien Griffin said the organisation was grateful to Junction landowner Michael Tozer, whose generosity has provided the opportunity.

“The low emission world is changing rapidly and we want to celebrate Noosa residents and businesses which have already gone down this path. We will also promote emerging and truly sustainable transport and energy initiatives,” she said.

“The recent climate action student strike demonstrated that our young people are expecting us to step up to the plate, and the exciting news is that it no longer is a trade-off. Environment initiatives also deliver real economic benefit. “

“When people come to the Centre on Saturday, they will find a blank canvas, and we have no budget for a glamorous refit.”

ZEN is calling for assistance in several ways including volunteers, donations of furniture and potted plants as well as ideas on promoting low emission living and technological innovations.
