Noosa Council will be undertaking a planned burn at the Noosa Landfill site tomorrow around 10am to further prepare for the upcoming bushfire season.
The burn is expected to take around eight hours with 56 hectares of land to be controlled, weather permitting.
A section of Walter Hay Drive is expected to be closed for approximately three hours.
Smoke is likely to be observed in Noosaville, Doonan and Tinbeerwah.
Residents with respiratory issues are urged to keep their windows and doors closed and motorists are urged to drive to the conditions.
