Noosa has long been known for its fair share of single folks enjoying the lavish lifestyle yet doing so without that significant other.
The search for which has given the local dating scene its stigma of scarcity of singles or perhaps it is just the lack of the right catalysts for single people to meet and make connections.
This is about to change with a new dating concept that is just hitting the Sunshine Coast known as Krushology – as this structured new dating concept truly embraces that it is all about chemistry with face-to-face dating still the best way to meet. This new way for people to meet, connect, make new friends and perhaps find Mr or Mrs right or right now – is very different from the usuals of speed dating, singles parties, blind dates or swiping.
Launching locally on 13 February on Valentine’s Day Eve at the local Land and Sea Brewery, the first exclusive structured dating event will be hosted by Krushology in Noosa for 35-to-55-year-old singles to try their luck of meeting their Valentine just in time for Valentine’s Day.
Event host Holly Davies said, “It is hard enough for people to meet new people going out, only to then have to figure out whether people are single or not and with all the disappointments and pitfalls of the online dating game, many locals are well and truly over the swiping or endless chats that may go nowhere.“
“Our structured dating concept facilitates real connection, with real people, face to face and for those who feel a little shy or nervous there’s a team of hosts for support.
“We have ice breakers, facilitated fun activities and que questions that help create meaningful conversation well beyond the usual worn-out and boring questions people tend to use.“
Land and Sea Brewery has been chosen as it is a great venue to go for a drink and a bite to eat, socialise and meet, with their private backroom with special gin bar playing host to the ticketed Krushology structured dating event on 13 February.
They also cater both, finger food and the complimentary welcome drinks, of course home distilled gin and ale to add the social lubricant – just enough to feel at ease and not too much to keep the dating civil. The bar will be open for service throughout and there is scope to party on or dine after the event concludes.
The rumours are running strong that there are more men than women on the local singles scene, but according to Holly, ticket sales indicate it’s the women that are beating the men to the box office. So, all you single men out there – there are ample women awaiting to meet you on the night – time to take action.
“With an age group of 35 to 55 year-olds, we’re looking to bring those people together who may have been in a relationship before, have had kids or are late starters and are looking for the perfect opportunity to find that special chemistry with someone or perhaps their long term relationship partner,“ Davies said.
“With the active lifestyle of locals being a common trade, we can expect some pretty young mid-lifers as well as thirty-something singles to attend and step out for a great night of fun connection and a series of six to eight structured dates for each attendee plus open mingling.
“There will be free finger food, a couple of free drinks each, music, a photobooth, lots of lucky door prices (over $500 worth), great atmosphere plus goodie bags worth $150 each and more.“
So, if you are a local single and you are over the online dating game or scouring bars and venues trying to spot the single people in the room, then take the easy route and put yourself into a room full of singles who like you are also looking to meet that special someone.
