Two people have died following a plane crash in the Sunshine Coast Hinterland on Wednesday afternoon.
A multi-agency search was launched around 5.30pm when it was reported overdue in returning to Maroochydore airport.
Preliminary inquiries indicate the plane crashed in bushland along Commissioners Flat Road in Peachester and was discovered around 8.30pm.
Two men, aged 46 and 30, were discovered deceased at the scene. They were occupants of the plane.
The Forensic Crash Unit are currently assisting other agencies, including the Australian Transport Safety Bureau, as investigations continue.
