Satanists want to bet with the Catholic Church

Temple’s founder and spiritual leader Robin Bristow (also known as Brother Samael Demo-Gorgon).

Noosa Satanists claim they will be the first to rely on protection provisions in the Religious Discrimination Bill.

The Noosa Temple of Satan has challenged the Catholic Church in a race to see which religion will be the first to make a claim under the Federal Government’s new anti-discrimination laws.

“We can’t wait,“ the Temple’s founder and spiritual leader Robin Bristow said.

“The new laws will give special protection to people of faith and we know that Satanists will be the first to access them.

“Satanists are the most persecuted religious group in Australia. We are confident that shortly after the Bill is passed, we will be discriminated against and we will head off to court relying on Scott Morrison’s wonderful new laws.

“The bet only relates to using the new laws to prevent discrimination. The bet does not cover using the new laws to commit discrimination.

“It’s crazy that we have to explain this. Sure, the new laws will protect individuals from unfair discrimination but, incredibly, the new laws also permit large religious institutions to commit discrimination,“ Mr Bristow said.

“We actually have a claim all set to go. As soon as the law is passed we will apply for a set of customised Satanic stamps from Australia Post. At the same time, we will apply for some Christian stamps. Australia Post will refuse the Satanic stamps but approve the Christian stamps. We know this will happen because they have done this before.”
