Dolphins celebrate Christmas

Noosa Rugby held their Dolphins family Christmas party on Saturday.

The festivities, which included a water slide, live music and touch football competition, were hailed a great hit.

The eight team touch footy comp was coordinated by A grade head coach and recently appointed director of rugby, Matt Buckland. Each team consisted of a mix of senior and junior players, past players, extended family members and a Droopy Dolphin or two.

A grade vice captain Will Christie’s team was crowned by Mayor Clare Stewart as the inaugural winners, with Clare’s son Will and husband Cam, a Droopy Dolphin foundation player, on the winning side.

The day also bought the first opportunity to mingle with the newly-elected club president Jon Lewis. Jon will take over the reins from outgoing president Donald Mckill.
