Entries open for Runaway Noosa Marathon

Entries are now open for next year’s Runaway Noosa Marathon, with the popular event set to return on Saturday 27 May.

More than 4000 runners took on the marathon, half marathon and 10km events on the streets of Noosa this May, with the Runaway Noosa Marathon returning for the first time since 2019.

Next year’s event will again welcome local, domestic and international runners to the region as they take on a flat and fast multi-lap course in the heart of Noosa, with the Runaway Noosa Marathon also bringing back the 5km event in 2023.

Leanna Ali, regional director for The IRONMAN Group Oceania, organisers of the Runaway Noosa Marathon, said the event team was looking forward to bringing runners back to Noosa.

“It was great to see more than 4000 runners take to the streets of Noosa in May and we look forward to welcoming even more to the event in 2023,” Ali said.

“The Runaway Noosa Marathon provides a great opportunity for runners to spend the weekend in this incredible region, take part in the run of their choice on Saturday morning and then relax.

“The event has a fantastic mix of social runners who are out for a fun morning with friends right up to those who take their events a bit more seriously and are out for a marathon PB on a flat and fast course,” she said.

“We also look forward to bringing the 5km event back to the schedule next year.”
