Gallery focus on landscapes

Landscape by Sonia Border.

Painter Sonia Border and ceramicist Pamela Walsh have teamed up to present Spirit and Patterns of the Landscape at the Pomona Railway Station Gallery.

The show communicates to the viewer the underlying spirit of the landscape through its colours, textures and patterns.

Together the artists explore the mysteries of the landscape, and reveal them to the viewer through striking patterns.

Formal opening of Spirit and Patterns of the Landscape is at 11am on Saturday 1 July. The exhibition is on show in the gallery’s Carriage Room until 2 August.

Meanwhile, the gallery’s Banana Shed exhibition space is hosting Elements of the Hinterland, a show by artist members of the Pomona Railway Station Gallery.

Through this show they share their love and views of the Noosa Hinterland, that celebrating the wide diversity and great beauty of our region. More than just landscape representations, the works express feel, emotion and sense of place.

Elements of the Hinterland is on show until 26 July.
