Man stabbed in Pomona

Police have charged two people after a man was stabbed in Pomona on Tuesday night.

Police have charged two people after a man was stabbed in Pomona on Tuesday night, 19 September.

It will be alleged around 11pm two people forced entry to a Pine Street residence before stabbing a man and fleeing the scene.

A 23-year-old Pomona man was transported to Sunshine Coast University Hospital with two wounds to his abdomen. He remains in hospital in a stable condition.

Police located the two people in a residence at Pottery Street just after midnight.

It will be further alleged the three people are known to each other.

A 25-year-old Cooroy woman and a 24-year-old Pomona man have both been charged with one count each of enter dwelling with intent at night whilst armed, wounding and wilful damage.

Both were set to appear at the Maroochydore Magistrates Court on Wednesday morning.
