The Forensic Crash Unit is investigating a serious crash that resulted in a toddler being airlifted to hospital in a critical condition.
The little boy suffered multiple injuries in a reported car rollover which happened on a major road in Nambour on Wednesday 29 November.
Emergency services were called to the corner of Lamington Terrace and Panorama Drive just after 6.30pm following reports a grey 2005 Mazda 3 had rolled.
He was first treated at the scene by Queensland Ambulance Service (QAS) officers who determined he needed urgent medical treatment in Brisbane.
The child was transported to the waiting rescue chopper and flown to the Queensland Children’s Hospital under the care of the RACQ LifeFlight Rescue Critical Care doctor and QAS Flight Paramedic.
The driver, a 26-year-old Woombye woman, is currently assisting police with investigations.
Witnesses or anyone who may have seen the vehicle in the Nambour area just prior to the crash, is urged to contact police.
