Enjoy arts and cinema in Cooroy

Be sure to add Saturday 13 April to your calendar for an entertaining day in Cooroy, with four new exhibitions opening plus the return of Cinema on the Roof.

With the weather cooling, the Cooroy Butter Factory Arts Centre is opening its new exhibitions on 13 April from 1-4pm.

Enjoy a walkthrough at 1pm of three exhibitions by local artists in the front galleries with CBFAC’s coordinator and curator Kevin Wilson.

If you just want to enjoy the work, grab a drink and a nibble and take in the vibe. From 2pm the day moves into the official opening and entertainment for the annual Hoofbeats exhibition.

This year the exhibition is titled Seeing the Soul: The Human-Animal Connection. Other exhibitors include Saren Dobkins – Hiding in Plain Sight; Helen Saint Smith – Collage Exposed; and Lauren Manser – Emergence.

Cinema on the rooftop at the Cooroy Library will return again on 13 April, thanks to the Cooroy Future Group (the people who bring you the Cooroy Butter Factory Arts Centre) working in partnership with Noosa Libraries and with the assistance of some generous sponsors.

Bring your family, a blanket and a picnic to enjoy a movie together under the stars.

Soft drinks and freshly cooked popcorn will be available to purchase. It’s suggested people arrive before dark to find a spot on the lawn while there is still daylight.
