Police officer suspended and set to appear in court

A 39-year-old male police officer has been suspended from the Queensland Police Service.

A 39-year-old male police officer in the North Coast region has been suspended from the Queensland Police Service.

The Senior Constable has been issued a Notice To Appear for one count of assault occasioning bodily harm and deprivation of liberty, relating to an alleged incident that occurred whilst off-duty.

He is set to appear in the Maroochydore Magistrates Court on 16 May.
