A 17-year-old boy is in custody after allegedly hitting a 16-year-old boy with a van after a dispute in Warana on the Sunshine Coast.
The beach-front street was blocked off with police tape for several hours while they investigated the serious traffic incident along Oceanic Drive on Thursday 6 June.
Initial investigations indicate at about 4.30pm, an altercation occurred which led to a 17-year-old boy allegedly running into a boy with a Volkswagen Transporter.
The 16-year-old was taken to hospital with non-life threatening injuries.
The boys are known to each other.
Anyone who witnessed the incident or has dashcam or CCTV footage of the incident is urged to contact police.
Investigations are ongoing.
