Life Ed is set to receive more than $15,000 to support their important work, thanks to the generosity of Noosa and Sunshine Coast communities in this year’s Officeworks Make a Difference Appeal.
Throughout June, the Officeworks Make a Difference Appeal encouraged customers to donate at the checkout in-store or online with funds going directly to local community organisations chosen by store
teams based on what felt most relevant to their local communities.
Officeworks Maroochydore, Noosaville and Warana chose to raise funds for Life Ed to reach more children in rural, remote and disadvantaged communities to help them make healthy and safe choices.
Local fundraising has contributed to the total $58,000 raised for Life Ed by Officeworks stores across the nation during the appeal.
Life Ed chief executive officer Russell D’Costa said, “At Life Ed, we believe that every child deserves to thrive – no matter who they are, where they live or how much money they have.“
“That’s why we partner with like minded groups and businesses, like Officeworks. Together, we can work towards a future where all children can grow in confidence through education.
“Our Thrive Children’s Fund helps us to reach more children in rural, remote and disadvantaged communities and thanks to Officeworks’ Make a Difference Appeal, we will be able to deliver education to more students in need in the Northern Territory and Far North Queensland regions.
“At Life Ed, we carry out this work because we have seen first-hand the power of education – to break cycles of disadvantage and isolation, and to empower children and communities as a whole. We’re
grateful that Officeworks shares this vision and we appreciate their support.”
Officeworks Maroochydore store business manager Sue Sutton said, “We are so proud to have raised more than $15,000 for Life Ed alongside Officeworks Noosaville and Warana, and are thrilled to have
seen our passion for the cause mirrored in our local community.“
“We are honoured to support Life Ed, helping to provide valuable resources and support to carry out their vital work. I would like to thank each and every customer who donated to this year’s Make a Difference Appeal helping to make a positive difference in the lives of Australian children.”
