Surprise performances at Muster stall

Adam Truscott

“Everyone deserves to play at the Gympie Music Muster,” said owners of MacDaddy Stompboxes Adam and Denise Truscott.

Adam and Denise have been setting up their tent to sell their Stompboxes at the Gympie Music Muster for the past few years, but the special part of their stall is that they invite any and all musicians to come in to have a play and try out the Stompboxes.

This has lead to multiple magical moments for the stall, seeing multiple of the Muster artists off the stage and talented strangers make their way into the stall to wow passersby and try out the stompbox.

“We’ve had little kids as young as four years old and they are exceptionally talented as far as timing and ability to keep a beat,” said Mr Truscott.

“We were at the Blues Fest and we had the Teskey Brothers rock up and they had a go playing the guitar and stompboxes.

“By the fourth song, there was 300 people at the front of our stall and the whole band bought one each.”

The couple started making stompboxes in 2012 as Adam is a musician playing around the Sunshine Coast and after his last stompbox failed, he took it upon himself to make an environmentally sustainable and well-constructed stompbox to fit the needs of musicians.

The MacDaddy stompboxes are available online at www.macdaddyaustralia.com/ or through select national distrubutors.

Or you may see them at another music festival near you.
