Sunshine Coast’s much-loved Icon Fairhill Native Gardens, Nursery and Cafe Bar Restaurant in Ninderry has reopened under new family ownership after extensive investment and renovation.

Fairhill’s new chapter includes extensive botanical gardens, nursery, farm shop, and courtyard cafe bar and restaurant, focusing on celebrating community, sustainability and creating a space where “Happiness Is In Our Nature”.

New owners Angela and David Wright of nearby organic farm Bamboo Park bring their commitment and experience to the nursery and cafe bar restaurant.

Fairhill Courtyard Cafe Bar Restaurant has quickly gained acclaim, already receiving the ‘Diners Choice Award’ since reopening based solely on diners’ reviews.

Under the culinary direction of Chef Daniel Gregory, formerly of the iconic Spirit House, the restaurant embraces hyper-local culinary excellence utilising wagyu beef from local farms, Bamboo Park heritage pasture-raised pork and sunshine rich eggs.

Indulgent Devonshire Teas reflect the owners’ heritage, with house-made scones and clotted cream based on the Devon family recipe.

Guests also enjoy seasonal, local and native ingredients – for example, the seasonal preserves using local strawberries and lemon aspen bushtucker berries.

The new owners have an earth-friendly approach, delivering high quality plants without synthetic chemicals on the twenty-one-acre property.

The nursery is favoured by gardening lovers due to the experienced native horticulturists on hand with ready advice, and large numbers of outstanding native and complementary plants.

Horticulturists and hobbyists alike are ditching old fashioned ways of gardening in favour of biodiversity, with a noted increase in beautiful and environmentally friendly gardens.

New family owner Angela Wright MBE, shared her excitement, “We are overjoyed to welcome fellow gardeners, families, and guests to this magical property and are proud to support local suppliers and horticulturists.”

“This opportunity to share our passion for native plants, delicious food, and memorable experiences is our gift to other families.

“We aim to foster a deep connection with the land and the wonderful community around us.”

Angela said with support from local suppliers, the business has carefully gathered a talented team, ensuring continuity with the previous horticultural staff while enhancing the garden’s beauty and services.

Corporates, school and youth groups are encouraged and can schedule one-off or ongoing visits and in addition to being child-friendly, Fairhill is pet friendly too with well-mannered dogs welcome.

Angela said Fairhill is not just a place to shop or dine, it is an experience, a gathering place for families, gardeners, and food lovers to come together and experience happiness in nature.
