The Mary Valley Rattler is staging its inaugural International Women’s Day High Tea on Tuesday 4 March, combining inspirational speakers with an indulgent high tea to recognise the contribution of women and raise funds for Wishlist.
The event will be held at Historic Gympie Station between 10am – 12noon, with attendees invited to immerse themselves in insightful discussions led by distinguished industry leaders Min Swan and Ellen Hardy. Their expertise will guide the morning event through engaging conversations, offering valuable perspectives on trends and challenges across all walks of life.
Complementing the discussions will be a delightful spread of high tea delicacies, along with a special wine and cheese tasting presented by South Burnett winery Clovely Estate. Everyone will take home gift bags to ensure a memorable experience.
Tickets for the event are strictly limited and are available for $99 per person, all-inclusive.
Funds raised during the event will support Wishlist, a charity that supports the growing health needs of patients and families in the Gympie and the Sunshine Coast regions.
The Mary Valley Rattler’s general manager, Sherry Lowe, said the event was an important recognition of women’s contribution to the local Gympie community and beyond.
“In all walks of life across Gympie, women contribute significantly to the community, the economy and the social fabric of the region,” said Ms Lowe.
“This is an exceptional opportunity for women to come together, hear some inspirational speakers, connect and share stories with like-minded women, and enjoy a delightful high tea experience.
“We recommend securing a place as soon as possible for this powerful celebration of women’s achievements and empowerment.”
The Rattler team can tailor the menu to suit dietary requirements – notification needs to be made at the time of booking.
The event is supported by the Carbon Group, Karinya Florist and Gifts and Clovely Estate.
