The final three days of competition of the World Bodysurfing Titles 2025 will be held on the Sunshine Coast this Saturday 3 and Sunday 4 May and either Monday 5 or Tuesday 6 (depending on surf conditions) for the final day of competition at Point Cartwright Beach, Buddina.
Almost 100 of the world’s best bodysurfers from 15 countries are taking part in the titles – it’s only the second time they’ve been run and the first time outside of Hawaii.
The Australasian team includes Olympic gold medallist Susie O’Neill, team captain Jack Lewis who finished 5th at last year’s world championships as well as a number of up-and-coming athletes including 15 year old Buderim schoolgirl, Pipi Cathcart.
Competition will kick off at 8.30am each day and the eventual world champion male and female competitors will be crowned on the final day of competition.
Event organiser Lynda Franklin said she hopes locals and tourists alike will take advantage of the opportunity to experience the world championships with the event happening right on our doorstep.
