Noosa industry leader appointed to State Tourism Skills Advisory Group

Tourism Noosa’s manager of Industry Development, Anthony Wynne-Hoelscher, has been appointed to the newly formed Queensland Tourism Industry Council’s (QTIC) Industry Skills and Jobs Advisor – Travel, Tourism & Visitor Services Industry Reference Group (TTV IRG).

The appointment recognises Anthony’s extensive experience in tourism industry development, as well as his many years in vocational training, combined with his ongoing commitment to supporting Noosa’s visitor economy through workforce planning, critical skills development and industry collaboration.

The TTV IRG is set to play a critical role in advising the Queensland Government on workforce and training priorities for the travel, tourism and visitor services sector. The group brings together industry leaders from across the state to inform program design, investment settings and national training reforms, all aimed at ensuring a skilled and job-ready tourism workforce.

Tourism Noosa chief executive officer Sharon Raguse congratulated Anthony on the appointment, saying “We’re incredibly proud to see Noosa represented on this important industry reference group. Anthony brings deep industry knowledge and a strong regional voice to the table.”

“His contribution will not only benefit Noosa but also help ensure Queensland’s training and skills programs support the growth and sustainability of our state’s tourism sector.”

Anthony Wynne-Hoelscher said, “This is a fantastic opportunity to represent Noosa and our region’s tourism industry at the state level.”

“The visitor economy is evolving rapidly, and workforce capacity and capability is more important than ever. I’m looking forward to contributing insights from Noosa’s operators and helping shape the future of tourism training in Queensland.”

Anthony’s appointment supports Tourism Noosa’s commitment to building a resilient, future-ready workforce to meet the needs of our local tourism industry.
