Local mum’s lucky win

A Maroochydore mum unwrapped a belated Christmas gift on the weekend, scoring a $930,000 Saturday Gold Lotto prize.

The Queenslander held one of the seven division one winning entries nationally in Saturday Gold Lotto draw 4637 on Saturday 27 December 2025. Her total prize was $936,180.60.

“Oh my god!” the woman exclaimed when the enormity of her win was revealed.

“That’s unbelievable! That’s very good news. That’s made my day.

“I was just sitting here watching the news and trying to pick a recipe for a salad for dinner.

“We’ve got family here and having a very special Christmas.

“We’ll pay off the mortgage and go from there.

“I’m very happy. I may not be screaming but I’m jumping up and down on the inside. My blood’s flowing pretty fast. I can feel my blood pressure rising.

“You just never expect it to happen to you.

“Thank you! You’ve made my day.”

The woman’s winning 18-game QuickPick entry was purchased via The Lott app – the official home of Australia’s lotteries.

The winning numbers in Saturday Gold Lotto draw 4637 on 27 December 2025 were 26, 20, 40, 3, 5 and 28, while the supplementary numbers were 22 and 42.
