Nambour’s miniature railway is set to delight families again this January, with the Sunshine Coast Railway Modellers Society reopening its miniature train rides on Sunday, 4 January, and again on 25 January 2026.
The park at 1 Florence Street (off Hospital Road) will be alive with activity from 10 am to 2.30 pm, weather and locomotives permitting. Rides are priced to give the best family value on the Sunshine Coast: six rides for $15 or 20 rides for $50.
Visitors can enjoy a sausage sizzle and cold drinks, while children and adults alike take in the miniature railway experience. Families are reminded that enclosed shoes are required to ride, and there is plenty of parking just 100 metres away at the QR car park. Limited seating is available, so bringing a chair is recommended.
Society president Ken Coulter told Noosa Today the miniature railway has provided countless families with an affordable day out in 2025, and the team is excited to welcome visitors again in the New Year.
“We get hundreds of families from Noosa and surrounding areas across the Coast,” he said.
