Get ready for Australia Day

Noosa’s community spirit will be on full display this Australia Day, with the annual Noosa Australia Day Festival returning to Lions Park, Gympie Terrace, Noosaville, on Monday 26 January.

Organised by the Tewantin Noosa Lions Club, this much-loved event has been a staple of the local calendar for nearly 45 years.

The Lions, who helped build the park and its stage, are known for their motto, “We Serve”, and their long-standing commitment to the community.

The festival is a free, family-friendly event running from 10 am to 4 pm, welcoming both locals and visitors from across the Noosa Shire and beyond.

Attendees can look forward to:

Food and drink: A wide range of food trucks, including the Lions’ famous sausages, chips, and burgers, alongside morning tea treats from the Queensland Country Women’s Association (QCWA).

Children’s activities: Climbing wall, cup-and-saucer ride, hair braiding, face painting, lucky dips, and more.

Live music: Organised by Oz Bayldon, the stage will feature the Youth Showcase highlighting emerging talent, followed by performances from Karma Police, The Page, DJ Duzza, and Raw Ordio.

The festival will also feature live broadcasting by Noosa FM 101.3, keeping the wider community connected to the day’s festivities.

This year, the festival is proudly supported by:

Gold Sponsors: Noosa Council and the National Australia Day Council, promoting the Reflect, Respect, Celebrate message.

Silver Sponsors: Bendigo Bank Tewantin and Tewantin Noosa RSL Club.

Bronze Sponsors: Robert James Realty Tewantin, Live Life Pharmacy Tewantin, and Noosa FM 101.3.

The Tewantin Noosa Lions Club emphasises that the festival is a community celebration rather than a fundraiser, bringing everyone together to enjoy the day on the picturesque banks of the Noosa River.

With food, fun, music, and a true sense of community, the 2026 Australia Day Festival promises a memorable start to the year for all ages
