Flight path consultation extended

Noosa Mayor Frank Wilkie has welcomed Air Services Australia’s decision to extend the submission period for the proposed changes to the Sunshine Coast Airport operations to January 31.

“Although this consultation has been ongoing since November 17, residents are wanting more time to understand the technical material and make informed submissions,” Cr Wilkie said.

Noosa Shire residents interested to understand how the recommendations and the changes that could result may impact them are invited to attend an online session on Wednesday 21 January at 6pm by registering their details on the Sunshine Coast project page on Engage Airservices at Sunshine Coast Airport New Runway PIR recommendations implementation | Engage Airservices (engage.airservicesaustralia.com/sc-pir-implementation).

Residents who are not comfortable using this platform can email communityengagement@airservicesaustralia.com for details.

Details are posted on the Air Services Australia website.

ASA is seeking feedback on proposals from the Post Implementation Review for the Sunshine Coast Airport’s new runway.
