Man charged with sexual assault

Detectives from Sunshine Coast Criminal Investigation Branch have charged a man who allegedly harassed and sexually assaulted multiple women.

It will be alleged the man engaged with multiple women via social media between July 2023 and November 2025, where he solicited sexual activities for money. He then allegedly groomed the women before assaulting them.

His alleged victims were aged between 26 and 35 years old.

A 31-year-old Mooloolaba man has been charged with 31 offences including 11 counts of rape, seven counts of using a carriage service to menace and harass, six counts of stalking, four counts of recording in breach of privacy, two counts of sexual assault and one count of administer stupefying drug.

He is due to appear in Maroochydore Magistrates Court today, 24 February.

Police believe there may be further victims and are urging anyone with any information to come forward.
