Cooroy’s second life for hidden art gems

This July, the Cooroy Butter Factory Arts Centre presents a diverse range of wildlife art, a large collection of art work from people’s collections destined for new homes, and a Members Gallery packed with over 85 artworks.

On the Wild Side, curated by Fiona Groom, showcases the untamed beauty of nature through the eyes of over 40 talented local artists.

This vibrant exhibition features a diverse collection of artworks celebrating our animal kingdom and the wild spaces in which they live. Other exciting features include a People’s Choice Award (kindly sponsored by Arts National Noosa) and a Wildlife Raffle with $5 tickets supporting WILVOS.

New Homes for Old Art is back again this year by popular demand and in the large Butterbox Galley space!

This is an exhibition of diverse art works from over the last 50 years. Scattered amongst the broad range of works are works by famous and well-known artists. The exhibition is a great opportunity to find a gem of an artwork. If you have works, not your own, in your collection that you wish to sell please contact CBFAC.

The member’s exhibition continues with over 85 fantastic artworks by 53 local artists. This exhibition includes a collection of paintings, drawings, ceramic and mixed media works, there is something for everyone.

An exhibition opening event will be held on Saturday 2 August from 4-6pm with nibbles and a bar to purchase drinks. Everyone is welcome to this free event.
