Get in quick to snap up your tickets to the inaugural Sunshine Sounds Festival, taking place at the Eumundi Showgrounds on Saturday 1 and Sunday 2 May 2021.

A two-day all-ages music festival, Sunshine Sounds boasts a line-up featuring Kate Miller-Heidke, Busby Marou, Miiesha, Katie Noonan, Asha Jefferies, Sahara Beck and a host of amazing local artists including Andrea Kirwin and the Yama-Nui Social Club, The Dreggs, and Band of Frequencies.

The boutique festival is being presented by Kin Music, a production company run by superwoman songstress Katie Noonan, who calls Eumundi home and is passionate about inclusivity and all things community.

“We’re super happy to share that the festival programming is 100 per cent QLD artists, 50 per cent First Nations, 50 per cent Sunshine Coast and 75 per cent female artists,” Katie said.“On the back of COVID, we’ve set out to create a festival that really brings people together,” she said.

“Coming together to connect over music is so important for the soul, for community spirit and connection. And that all contributes to wellbeing and happiness – something we all deserve to feel in this topsy-turvy time.”

“It’s also about performers having a chance to engage together again, earn some much-needed money and remember what it feels like to play live again,” Katie said.

The Sunday program includes a Sunshine Sounds Community Choir, where festival-goers get to join in what promises to be a goosebumps-inducing group singsong for all ages and abilities. There’ll even be pre-fest rehearsals in Eumundi for keen beans.

Music from 11am – 10pm each day (gates open 10am), with plenty of awesome local food and drinks available on-site.

Daily tickets via oztix.com.au – just $80 for adults, $40 for kids (under 18 yrs) or $200 for a family pass. Tickets are super limited, so music-lovers are advised to book quick smart.
