Roar, monster trucks, caravans galore: tickets on sale

The Sunshine Coast is gearing up for a blockbuster season of entertainment, with tickets now on sale for a thrilling line-up of major events at Nambour Showgrounds and Kawana Sports Precinct.

From elite football and high-octane monster trucks to a brand-new country music festival featuring international stars, locals and visitors alike are in for an unforgettable experience.

Whether you’re chasing goals with the Brisbane Roar, rocking out at the debut Strummingbird Festival, or exploring the great outdoors at the region’s biggest caravan expo, there’s something for every taste and age.

These events highlight the diversity and vibrancy of experiences available at our community venues.

Sunshine Coast Council Division 3 Councillor Tim Burns said the Kawana Sports Precinct was set to come alive with world-class sport and entertainment.

“From the Brisbane Roar’s pre-season clash to the incredible Strummingbird Festival line-up, these events showcase our region as a premier destination for fans and visitors,” Cr Burns said.

“It’s a fantastic opportunity to enjoy sports action and live music right here on the Coast.”

– Strummingbird Festival

Date: Saturday, October 25, 2025

The first release of tickets for the brand-new Strummingbird Festival are selling fast! This music festival promises an incredible line-up of country artists.

Making his first-ever visit to Australia, Jelly Roll will headline the event. Global sensation Shaboozey will also make his Australian debut at Strummingbird, alongside the likes of Treaty Oak Revival, James Johnston, Kaylee Bell, Matt Hansen, Hot Dub Time Machine with a rock and country-centric set, plus The Dreggs and many more.

Sunshine Coast Council Division 10 Councillor David Law said Nambour Showgrounds would be buzzing with excitement as two huge events rolled in – the Let’s Go Caravan & Outdoor Expo and the Monster Trucks Mayhem Thrill & Stunt Show.

“These events bring something for everyone, from outdoor adventure enthusiasts to families looking for a night of adrenaline-fueled fun,” Cr Law said.

“It’s a great boost for our local economy and excellent event attractions for our community and visitors to enjoy.”

– Let’s Go Sunshine Coast Caravan & Outdoor Expo

Date: Friday, Saturday and Sunday, August 22-24

This three-day event is the ultimate destination for caravanning, camping, and outdoor adventure enthusiasts.

With more than 100 exhibitors, it’s the biggest Sunshine Coast Caravan & Outdoor Expo yet! Explore the latest caravans, motorhomes, camper trailers, and accessories, plus enjoy expert advice and hands-on demos.

Don’t miss the daily VANSafe Masterclasses on safe towing, working dog demonstrations, and thrilling reptile awareness displays.

Relax to live music in the VAN JAM Beer Garden and pick up bush cooking tips from Mick the Camp Oven Cook. It’s a fun-filled weekend for the whole family!

Kids can enjoy free face painting on Saturday and Sunday, in between exploring the latest in caravanning and outdoor gear with their parents.

Be wowed by working dog demonstrations as skilled sheepdogs show off their herding talents and get up close with venomous snakes and reptiles at the thrilling and educational Reptile Awareness Displays.

With something for every age and interest, it’s the perfect day out for families who love the great outdoors.

Get ready for an adrenaline-packed night of high-flying, engine-roaring action as the Monster Trucks Mayhem Thrill and Stunt Show takes over the Nambour Showgrounds for one night only!

Watch as Australia’s most powerful monster trucks, including Outback Thunda, Confused, and Tassie Devil, bring chaos to the arena with jaw-dropping stunts and raw power.

The excitement doesn’t stop there – catch a wheelstanding Jeep, laugh out loud with the Comedy Cars, and be amazed by the Fireworks & Laser Spectacular finale.

Monster Truck Rides will also be available for those who want to experience the thrill up close (additional charge applies). This is a must-see event for the whole family!

General Admission ticket holders can BYO blankets or chairs to sit on. Grandstand seating is also available for those who want the best views, but tickets are limited – get yours before they sell out!
