Coolum’s Christmas events

The festive spirit is alive and well on the Sunshine Coast, with a fantastic line-up of events bringing residents and visitors together in Coolum and Mudjimba this December.

Council’s Strong Community Portfolio Councillor Taylor Bunnag said there was plenty to enjoy – from twilight markets to carols by the beach.

“Each event is within walking distance of cafés and shops, so make a day or night of it and support our businesses while you’re there,” Cr Bunnag said.

Friday nights (19, 26 December) – Coolum Lions Twilight Markets at Tickle Park.

20 December – Mudjimba Community Carols – presented by Mudjimba Surf Life Saving Club, this beloved tradition brings families together for a magical evening of carols under the stars.

25 December – Coolum HeARTs Community Lunch – celebrate Christmas together with food and friendship at the Coolum Civic Centre.

27 December – Coolum Flicks in the Park – grab a picnic and head to Tickle Park for an outdoor movie night thanks to Coolum Business and Tourism Association.

31 December – NYE Coolum – Ring in 2026 with a spectacular fireworks display, 8.30pm at Coolum Beach, proudly presented by Sunshine Coast Council.

Thanks to Coolum Lions, Coolum Beach Surf Club and the Coolum Business & Tourism Association, Tickle Park will have live music from 5pm.
