New night markets by the sea launching at Mudjimba

The Sunshine Coast has a brand-new seaside celebration, with the launch of Saltwater Saturdays – Mudjimba Night Markets on Saturday 27 September.

From 4pm to 8pm, the foreshore park beside Mudjimba Surf Life Saving Club will transform into a sunset market by the sea, filled with ocean breezes, live beats, and a feast of flavours.

Families and friends can wander through artisan stalls, savour global street food, and soak up the relaxed sunset vibes by the seaside.

The launch promises DJ Soul Fusion setting the seaside soundtrack from 4–5:30pm, followed by free live acoustic tunes as the moon rises over the water.

Kids will be entertained with free activities, making the markets a fun and welcoming family night out.

Saltwater Saturdays highlights:

– Artisan stalls inspired by coastal creativity

– A wave of food trucks serving up flavours from near and far

– DJ Soul Fusion (4–6pm) + live acoustic music under the stars til 8pm

– Free entertainment for kids by the shore

Proudly presented by Mudjimba Surf Life Saving Club in partnership with Sunshine Coast Music and Events.

The markets help raise funds to support our local surf lifesavers.

Sunshine Coast Music and Events director Lea Taylor said, “We are delighted to present Saltwater Saturdays for the Mudjimba and North Shore communities. It’s about celebrating everything we love about life by the seaside.”

“It’s a chance to enjoy the surf, sand, sunset and stars — all in one unforgettable evening at Mudjimba.”

The markets will be a monthly seaside ritual, held on the 4th Saturday of each month, giving locals and visitors a reason to dive into Mudjimba’s relaxed beachside vibe again and again.
