Sound Feast is back at The J Noosa on Friday 12 July from 6pm. In case you haven’t heard of it before, Sound Feast is a free community concert held at The J, Community and Entertainment Centre at Noosa.Seasoned and respected singer-songwriter Barry Charles and Peter “Awesome” Wells open the night. Barry offers up some powerful and jaw dropping vocals, mixed in with harmonica and a punchy percussive style of guitar playing, accompanied by Peter ‘awesome’ Wells’s‘ innovative guitar and great lead playing. Together their captivating performances encompass deep grooves, digging into the soul and message of a song and leaving that original number or a selective cover they’ve just played to you, with their own interpretation and mesmerising energy.

Back by popular demand is multi-instrumentalist, vocalist, songwriter and storyteller, Niq Reefman. Niq captivates his audience with his skill, talent and dexterity.Linsey Pollak returns to Sound Feast with Lizzie O’Keefe. Linsey is well known all around Australia as a musician, instrument maker, composer, musical director and community music facilitator. He has toured his solo shows extensively in Europe, North America and Asia since 1996, recorded 33 albums (solo and with various groups) and performed at most major festivals around Australia.

Lizzie O’Keefe is a dynamic and commanding vocal artist and a versatile, innovative performer. Her sound has been described as haunting and beautiful in the same sentence.

And lastly, but surely not least – The Long Johns. The Long Johns are the twang of the banjo, the rumble of the sousaphone and the ring of the spittoon, the creak of the door, the crow of the rooster, the stomping of floorboards and the hammering of the chain gang.

A full bar with snacks, hot food and seating is available. No need to book, just turn up on the night.
