Round-the-houses time trials featuring a record 240 historic and classic cars will celebrate the 75th anniversary of the Australian Grand Prix staged on a wartime airfield just outside the tiny town of Leyburn, 193kms west of Brisbane on the Southern Darling Downs.

Highlights will include a special display of 1949 grand prix cars and appearances by retired Australian international driving stars Warwick Brown and Bruce Allison, plus famous former touring car teammates Dick Johnson and John Bowe.

Show ‘n’ Shine and vintage caravan displays will be among many off-track family attractions.

The Sprints competition starts at 8am on Saturday and Sunday. Adult tickets are available online or at the gate for $25 a day or $35 for the weekend, with children under 14 free.
