’It was the real Australia’

The American Country Music brothers, Chris and Donnie Davisson AKA the Davisson brothers felt right at home at the Gympie Music Muster as the Sunrise dancers joined them on stage for one of the songs of their new record Home Is Where The Heart Is on Saturday 24 August.

For what was their very first Muster, the brothers described it as wild and crazy whilst reminding them of their home in the mountains of west Virginia.

“beautiful people, beautiful country and just a really well run festival,“ said Donnie.

“I love it, it feels like home to us.“

During their set at the Crowbar on Saturday night, the Sunrise dancers who had been performing just before them joined the Davisson Brothers on stage with their Didgeridoo and danced with them to a roaring crowd.

“It was magical, we’ve never experienced anything like that before, it was the real Australia, it was awesome,“ said Donnie.

“I had cold chills, what those guys did and the crowd was huge at the Crowbar“

Chris shared in his excitement from their experience during their performance saying that it might have been one his best personal experiences ever on stage.

“We got to do one of our new singles, we did that with the natives, the sunrise dancers, it made it even more special,“ he said.

The song they performed was called Home off their new record Home Is Where The Heart Is which comes from their exclusive deal with Australian label Red Dog Recordings.

“It was just a magical moment last night, it felt like home in Australia,“ said the Davisson Brothers.
