Bendigo help Noosa Alive Festival keep ticket costs down

With something for everyone, the excitement is building for this year’s Noosa Alive Festival, from 19 to 28 July, offering a diverse range of events and performances.

This year’s 10-day festival prioritises accessible ticket prices to accommodate various budgets and preferences, thanks to major sponsors like Bendigo Community Bank.

The relationship with Bendigo Community Bank began several years ago when Noosa Alive’s previous major sponsor withdrew at short notice.

Bendigo stepped in with a $25,000 rescue package, allowing the event, then known as the Noosa Long Weekend, to continue.

Bendigo has been proudly supporting the event, now called Noosa Alive, ever since.

Rick Cooper, former Chair and long-serving Director of Sunshine Coast Community Financial Services (SCCFSL), which oversees the Community Banks of Cooroy, Marcoola, and Tewantin-Noosa, said the arts are an integral and vital part of any community.

“Many regional arts events continue to struggle financially and our local community bank is delighted to assist the success of Noosa Alive as an ongoing major sponsor,“ Rick said.

“In its 22-year journey, Noosa Alive has become a cornerstone of our community’s cultural landscape.

“Operating as a not-for-profit organisation under the guidance of a voluntary Management Committee, its inception by David Williamson and local industry friends speaks volumes about their dedication to bringing the best of the arts to Noosa.

“The remarkable success of this multi-arts festival is a testament to the hard work and passion of all involved, both past and present.“

Bendigo Bank is sponsoring the Twilight Classics event on 21 July under the Bendigo Bank Marquee at main beach.

“Highlights at this year’s festival encompass theatre, circus, magic, and stand-up comedy; dance, ballet, opera, and classical music; alongside long lunches, brunches, and dinners,“ Rick said.

“Attendees can also relish engaging literary events and the ever-popular Seaside Vibes dance parties, all against the captivating backdrop of Noosa.“

Noosa Alive president Andrew Stafford said, “NOOSA alive! is aware of the current strains on consumer spending and we have partnered with Bendigo Bank to keep costs down on ticket prices which start at $25 a ticket.“

“Festivals are about gathering and delivering to the people what they creatively desire and NOOSA alive! can’t be executed without the help of

sponsors such as Bendigo Bank.

“The arts is to be celebrated, shared and enjoyed by everyone so this is one of our key goals along with delivering a quality program showcasing local and international talent.

“From the minute you walk into a Bendigo Bank branch, talk to their staff and see how customers are being helped with their banking, it is a partnership that makes sense. We are proud of our Sunshine Coast, NOOSA alive! invites the world to our stage with Noosa as the backdrop.”

Tickets for Noosa Alive can be purchased at www.noosaalive.com.au.

When a bank commits 80 per cent of profits to the community, it’s more than a promise — it’s a testament to values.
