Jazz mayhem at The J

The Norfolk Island ensemble will feature in the next Jazz Factory show at The J on Saturday 13 April with Brett Iggulden on trumpet, reeds and vocals, Geoff Speed reeds, Greg Garrett banjo/guitar, Richard Stevens on sousa plus special guest Jo Bloomfield on piano. This will be a special night of jazz mayhem with the addition of Rod Gilbert from Melbourne at the drums and vocals.

This December, The Jazz Factory will make the trip to Norfolk again with a group of happy travellers for their 10th trip.

Since the early days of the Jazz Factory local band of four members that formed in the 1990s the band now has a fluid makeup according to demand, The regular band has Greg and Richard, Paul Williams reeds and Garry Buckley trumpet but can be expanded.

Anyone interested in the Norfolk trip, brochures will be available on the night.

There’s something very special about the Norfolk Island Jazzes It Up A jazz festival with a fabulous range of top class jazz combined with incredible performance locations means the overall experience is an absolute winner. Headliners in 2019 are The Jazz Factory, Rockets Plus, Mark Oats and Matt Zarb, Laura Zarb, Avalon Swing and Kevin Clarke and Fran Barton.The Noosa Heads Jazz Club event will be on Saturday 13 April from 7.30 to 10.30pm at The J, Noosa Junction.
