Ord Minnett opens in Noosa to support financial advice demand

One of Australia’s leading wealth management firms, Ord Minnett (Ords), has opened its 15th Australian office in Noosa.

Ords senior private wealth adviser Chris Harris said, “The demand for financial advice in the Noosa Shire and its surrounding suburbs has driven us to open a brand new office.”

“We know the local population continues to grow, particularly with those looking to enjoy retirement, so we’re looking forward to working with new clients to ensure they can optimise their wealth for their next chapter.

“Our new office will provide clients with a personalised service from locally based advisers that can draw on the resources of Ords’ national network. We invite anyone who would like to take control of their wealth to start a conversation with us today,” he said.

Clients will have access to Ord Minnett’s full suite of services, including financial advice, investment management, superannuation, and retirement planning, all designed to help individuals and families protect and grow their wealth.

Financial adviser numbers have halved around the country at the same time the intergenerational wealth transfer is expected to pass more than $5 trillion in assets to younger Australians by 2050, which is set to further increase the need for financial advice.

Ord Minnett’s chief executive officer and managing director Karl Morris said, “Demand continues to rise for financial advice in Australia and we’re increasingly seeing Australians seek tax-effective financial advice to set themselves up for retirement, downsize their home or decide how much they can leave their kids.”

“This is an exciting new chapter for Ord Minnett. The firm has had a strong presence in the Sunshine Coast region for decades with our advisers providing personalised advice in our Buderim office, and our new office will allow us to extend our localised services in the Noosa Shire, where demand is also high.”

Ord Minnett has a history dating back more than 150 years, and currently manages $71.1 billion (as at 30 June 2025) in Funds Under Advice, serving individuals, families, businesses, and organisations across the country and in Hong Kong.
