Drug trafficking charges

Police have charged three people with various drug offences after a raid on the Sunshine Coast on Wednesday 20 July.

Investigators searched a property in Ilkley as part of Operation Uniform Canterbury, which was established in March to target drug trafficking on the Sunshine Coast.

Police allegedly discovered a laboratory for drug production, quantities of methylamphetamine, cannabis and $60,000 in cash.

In addition, police also located two firearms, a large quantity of ammunition, a significant quantity of jewellery and other stolen property.

Two Mooloolaba yachts were also identified as alleged proceeds of crime.

A 49-year-old Ilkley man has been charged with one count of drug trafficking, six counts of supplying dangerous drugs (methylamphetamine) and one count of possessing dangerous drugs (cannabis) and fronted Maroochydore Magistrates Court on Thursday 21 July.

A 51-year-old man Ilkley man has also been charged with two counts of possessing dangerous drugs (methylamphetamine and diazepam), while a 39-year-old has been charged with possessing a dangerous drug (cannabis).

Investigations are continuing.
