Old Yandina newsagency to be converted into three separate shops

After operating as the Yandina newsagency for more than a decade, 2a Stevens Street has been sold, with the new owner planning on turning the building into three separate shops.

Located in the heart of Yandina, the 155sqm building, set on a 313sqm block, sold for $480,000 after receiving four written offers in a multi-offer situation.

The vendors bought the property in 2010 but have decided to move the newsagency to a new location.

The property received a lot of interest with 46 enquiries from both investors and owner-occupiers wanting to purchase the space.

Ray White Commercial Noosa and Sunshine Coast North salesperson Chantel Dielwart said the building’s great location made it desirable to buyers.

“It has great exposure to the busy street,” she said.

“There’s side access to the rear of the shop providing staff parking, and ample customer parking on the street.

“It’s surrounded by high-profile businesses including a real estate agent, coffee shop, tattoo studio, picture framing shop, and the new Bar Deco, a Belgian beer and wine garden.”
